Paraneoplastic Syndromes are a major warning sign of cancer

The Curren Foundation supports individuals with Paraneoplastic Cerebellar Degeneration (PCD), a type of paraneoplastic syndrome.

If you or a loved one has stroke-like neurological symptoms that remain undiagnosed and you are looking at whether a cancer-related autoimmune disorder may be the cause, we hope our website may give you some vital information or lead you to other resources that will. Learn more about Paraneoplastic Syndromes, specifically those attacking the cerebellum, by clicking below

Please note, this is not an exhaustive list. Visit Cancer.gov for more information. Seek professional medical assistance immediately if your symptoms are new and you have not had a formal medical evaluation.

Our History

The foundation was created by family members in memory of Posey Curren Riedel, whose PCD Derived from an aggressive form of cancer

Although Posey’s family found many wonderful charities funding into virtually every form of cancer and providing support for cancer victims, they found it difficult to find any charities devoted specifically to PNS, or more specifically, PCD. There were also unable to locate support groups for victims and their families. The Curren Foundation was formed in an attempt to remedy these problems by providing care, reliable information, and support for the victims suffering from PCD.

The faster you make a diagnosis, the better. In paraneoplastic syndromes, this is essential.
